About the Role
What we’re looking for…
- Qualified / Part Qualified AAT – looking to advance onto ACCA / ACA in the future
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in practice accountancy
- Knowledge of UK VAT
- Strong double entry bookkeeping knowledge
- Knowledge of CCH suite would be preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of Sage/Xero/QBO and Dext– most clients use Xero and Dext combined
- Ability to work well within a diverse team
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
The company…
Based in the City of London, they provide accountancy and taxation services for the general public, specifically those in the creative sector. These creative industries include: film, music, photography, creative direction, fashion and agencies (to name a few!).
Responsibilities…
- Preparation of accounts for small Limited Companies/sole traders/partnerships/LLPs
- Preparation of Corporation Tax computations for Limited Companies
- Preparation of bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts
- Completing VAT, Self-Assessment, EORI etc. registrations with HMRC
- Operating as part of an outsourced finance function which includes making payments, liaising with customers and suppliers, completing weekly bookkeeping etc
- Preparation of basic Self-Assessment Tax returns
