About the Role

I am working with an exclusive client based within the educational sector in the outskirts of Worthing -West Sussex who are looking to recruit a full-time permanent HR & Recruitment Assistant to join them within their prestigious surroundings.

Responsibilities

  • Create adverts and job descriptions, liaising with Marketing & Comms colleagues to ensure adverts are published on all relevant platforms, collating, and sending application packs to the recruiting line managers.
  • Arranging interviews and participate in interview panels as required.
  • Complete relevant safer online recruitment checks for all shortlisted applicants, escalating any concerns to the Human Resources Manager
  • Provide feedback to recruiting line managers as required.
  • Collate successful candidate information, pass onto HR colleagues to enable them to process safer recruitment checks and produce required contractual documentation.
  • To arrange for new starters to complete the pre-employment medical process via our preferred supplier.
  • Respond to recruitment queries via the HR inbox.
  • Attend local careers events to enable us to provide a presence and be a champion for promoting our vacancies to prospective employees.
  • Arrange and co-ordinate our own Careers Event and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to promote the event.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with local recruitment agencies, schools, colleges, and universities to identify potential applicants for roles.
  • Produce monthly reports on recruitment activities.
  • Responsible for managing the Leaver process including updating the HR system and Payroll Officer, drafting leaver letters and collating exit interview responses.
  • Create files for new employees including creating a new electronic record on the new starter system.
  • Any other ad-hoc recruitment or HR duties

Requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel & Word
  • Previous experience in a Recruitment admin role would be desirable.
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a fast paced & challenging environment.

  • 25 days holiday entitlement plus 3 extra days between christmas and New Year.
  • Salary of £26,000-£28,000
  • Monday to Friday in office (1 day WFH after probation) - 9:00am until 5:30pm (+/- flexi) 37.5 working week

Due to the nature of the role if you are succesfulDBS checks will need to be put in place.Applicants who have lived outside of the UK in the past 10 years will be required to provide a Police Check from their country of residence.
